Ross Spies
Ross joined the team in 2016 as a high school co-op student. Enthralled with the industry, he continued working for Roger with the crew while attending college at Southern Illinois University Carbondale until purchasing the company in 2025.
Retired Founder
Roger Schrage
Roger was the original founder of Schrage Construction and Development, now known as Schrage-Spies Construction LLC. He ran projects with years of experience and dedication to not only the client, but to his crew.
Architectural Designer
Summer Schleeper
Summer joined the Schrage-Spies family in 2025 as the in-house architectural designer. She holds degrees from Southern Illinois University Carbondale including a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture (M.ARCH).
Retired Squirrel Defense Coordinator
Skeeter Spies
Skeeter was hired as Ross' assistant in 2020. Formerly the Sorority Relations Director with FarmHouse Fraternity of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, she "graduated" with skills that made her an integral team member. We unfortunately lost Skeeter in April 2026 to a brain tumor, she will always be remembered as part of our team and our family.
Official Lunchtime Supervisor
Lady Schleeper
Lady has been acting as the official lunchtime supervisor since February 2024. Some people doubted that a one-eared rescue pup could be a good lunchtime supervisor. Lady took that to heart and decided to work to prove them all wrong. Now, 15 pounds overweight, we have our answer on her skills and capabilities in this respectable role.
